Problam with my Emprex DVD Dual

hi,i have a problam with my Emprex Dvd Dual. The problam is that when i put in a Dvd cd into the drive nothing happens,ive connected it to my pc,updated it,the pc detects that the dvd drive is on,but the dvd drive does'nt detect dvd cds.

Please help need this dvd badly,thanks=)
 
Can you see the drive in My Computer?
If so can you open a CD/DVD directly from there?
