I am trying to create a field in a table to hold a credit card number, i keep getting erros about the data not being correct, i assume its because the 16 digit numbers are too long....how can i get a field to be formated as a number and hold 16 numbers? any help is appreciated

Paul

Hiya,

When you define a field in a table - you have the option to change it's type and size at the bottom.

In your case, you are never going to do any maths calculations with a credit-card number, so in effect a credit card number is really just text that holds numeric digits.

So define the field as text, size 16.

If you insist on it being numeric, then you need a Long Integer datatype - not just Integer.
