probably a simple question about cat 2900 ports

hi. i have a question about a cisco catalyst ws-x2900 switch. on the management module, there are two ethernet ports, and right next to each of them is port that looks like a smaller serial port or maybe more like a scsi port. underneath the port it says MII. what port is this? what is it used for? and what kind of a cable does it take? thanks!!

MII = Media Independent Interface
It's a LAN Port.
You need an an external transceiver (100BaseTX, 100BaseFX,..) to connect it to the 40pin MII.
