I am using XP pro and Norton AntiVirus 2004

My keyboard has suddenly stopped working properly (though it isn't a keyboard problem) treating keys pressed as 'speed' commands e.g. pressing 'n' opens a new window, 's' saves the document.

I have run Norton with updates, and though adware was found and excluded - delete not possible - problem remains

Any help would be appreciated and any way of preventing this happening again would also be great

thanks

does it do the same if you boot in safe mode? ...or in DOS mode? sometimes the ctrl or alt keys get stuck and your keyboard may generally need a good cleaning. work your way from the easiest to the more complex and maybe, using trial-by-elimination, you'll get your hands on the culprit.

hope this helps. peace! [peace]
