I am facing problem whenever i am trying to connect to sql in micros3700 ver 4.7 i need to give the ODBC Data source name
Normally in every database we just need to give id and password to connect but in one of the database i am facing this problem because of this we are facing problem in interface with FMC (Material Control)
its mentioned in this image how i am logging to sql

Ya i have noticed this happening from time to time in different databases but i have never been able to work out why.

Why is this causing a problem when setting up your interface?

MC people trying to run check3700 its not running due to this issue once before i have faced this problem then i reinstalled their micros server after this its was fine now again i am facing the same problem but another client

Hey,

Micros Sybase ODBC does not allow integrated logins. If you are creating your own applications, you can work around that by using ADO and ADO connection strings (saved passwords etc in the conn string). The MC interface is run on the Micros server in %resrootdir%\custom.

From Micros applications being run on client machines, many ODBC connection problems can be remedied by copying the MDSHOSTS.xml into the local MICROS\ETC directory.

The MC interface connects using the CUSTOM user. What exactly is the problem? MC export is the easiest thing to set up. Its an installer exe, a couple of BAT files and then setting up some autosequences.
