Please, I really need an answer to this problem. Maybe a reader could suggest someone or somewhere I could go for an answer.

I have a worksheet in a file that is comprised of a lotus data table with columns and headings and range named List1. I have been creating reports from this table for sometime with out any problems. All of a sudden tonight it is giving me problems when I try to use the groups and totals layout. Even though I'm only designating 4 fields that are very narrow it gives me a message saying "Couldn't fit all of the fields into the body. The first field(s) were added. Go to the Design and choose add field from the worksheet or form menu and add the remaining fields."

Even though there are multiple entrys for each group it will only show one line and it will not show the headings on the report. I can add the fields but it will only show them as one line and will not show the headings. This blows me away that this just started.

I'm using an highend HP laptop running Lotus 97, Lotus Approach 97 and Windows XP home version. Lotus has been running just fine on XP and I've created several reports until now. Had same problem with Windows 2000 on my desktop where all of a sudden it would no longer create a report grouping data, but no problem on my laptop. I've just been doing them on my laptop until this happened tonight. I really need to get to the bottom of this. I have several agencies using my accounting program that want to create reports using their Lotus data table.

This is a problem related to some video drivers. It occurs on the "Columnar with groups and totals" report only.

Workaround: Create a simple columnar report to get the fields and headings you want. Then add the grouping summary panels afterward using Create, Summary...
