prob after moving vpn from isdn to dsl

had isdn vpn w/allied telesyn routers...
same subnet 192.168.1.nnn both ends
running OLD dBaseIII student record app w/advantage database server...worked, but soooooo sloooooooow.

DSL came to town...

now using 1.5M DSL w/speedstream routers...
diff subnet 192.168.1.nnn main site and 192.168.2.nnn at the remote site...
using wins svr on .1 network...

mapped s:\ to share in .1 network

all windows stuff, PDC login, netBios browsing, open-edit-save office documents and the like work just fine and pretty darn fast too.

But old dos app on nt4wrksta client (am using forcedos by the way) begins to run then issues error msg about

PROC: "DBUSEAREA" LINE 0: DBUSEAREA

hit enter get shell msg: "sturec is returning you to dos"
and thrown out to dos prompt

any ideas?

dos app shop is on vacation all this week
