Hello All,
We have a POTS line that is set up as a COT to ring to a 2616 set. (OPT 81C) We have a new POTS line that we want to have ring directly to the Attendant console. After I set this up, the line rings to the Console no problem, but if another call comes in it rings busy. The difference between the original line we have set up and the new one is the original one points to ATDN 7950 which is configured on a phone.

Here is the original config:
DES L
TN 004 0 00 04
TYPE COT
CDEN 8D
CUST 0
XTRK EXUT
FWTM NO
TIMP 600
BIMP 3COM
AUTO_BIMP NO
TRK ANLG
NCOS 0
RTMB 8 1
ATDN 7950
SIGL LOP
SUPN YES
STYP PIP
AST NO
IAPG 0
CLS UNR DIP WTA LPR APN THFD
P10 NTC
TKID 8321111
AACR NO
DATE NO DATE

The new config:
DES T
TN 004 0 00 05
TYPE COT
CDEN 8D
CUST 0
XTRK EXUT
FWTM NO
TIMP 600
BIMP 3COM
AUTO_BIMP NO
TRK ANLG
NCOS 0
RTMB 17 1
PRDN 7521111 (I think my mistake is here, but I cant input 0 here for Operator)
CMF NO
SIGL LOP
SUPN YES
STYP PIP
AST NO
IAPG 0
CLS UNR DIP WTA LPR APN THFD
P10 NTC
TKID 7521111
AACR NO
DATE 23 OCT 2007

Would I need to add this as an appearance on each Console in order to get it to roll over? Also I do not get the ATDN prompt like on the first config, just PRDN.

Thanks

an analog line will not roll over without somewhere to roll to (another analog line). one line = one call.

I'm not sure what your asking, are you trying to get more than 1 call at a time on this trunk?????

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

At present when you call the 7521111 number it rings on the attendant console. But if someone else calls while that call is engaged you get a busy signal. So yes..I'm trying to get more than one call to ring on this trunk.

thanks

as stated, you have only 1 trunk, and therefore only one call.

think of it like a parking spot. once a car occupies it, you cannot park a second car without adding a second spot.

the best you can do is have the telco provide you with an equivalency group on a second trunk so that if the first trunk is busy, they will route the second call onto a second trunk which you can then terminate to your second console.

Wow...thanks. Love that analogy MagnaRGP.

So I did this right afterall..

Thanks Gang!
