Mics 7.0 with PRI have the DID number the same as the intercom number, as ring only and outside calls come in on the intercom position of the set. on one station, the owner wants his line also answer by the rept at front desk. have assigned answer DN for his DID number on her set. all calls that come in ring on both sets. now he wants a private DID number on his phone that does not ring at the rept and does not go to voicemail. have assigned a DID number as app and ring but it also rings at the rept phone of course and goes to voicemail if he does not answer.

is there a way to put a private DID line on someone phone and acheived this request...............

wow really over throught this one. will try in am. can it be this simple. but wont it still go to his voicemail if he does not answer it................

You are right: if the target line is programmed to ring on the set, the call will end up in the mailbox for that set.

Instead, you could use a hunt group. Hunt groups do not follow Call Forward rules, so calls on the target line will never reach the voicemail. There are basically two things to do:
[ol 1]
[li]Add the owner set as the only member of the hunt group.[/li]
[li]Assign the target line to the hunt group.[/li]
[/ol]

Don't forget to remove the target line appearance from the owner set and the Answer DN from the reception set.
