Hi,

In my Program database there is several link tables which linked to another database (storing Data) which protected by password.

I don't want any user can read the data without runing Package.
But recently I found that some users do the following way and can read the data without runing the password protected database:

1) they create the blank database
2) import from the program database (Not tables database) and import the linked tables.
3) now they can read the data without using any password!!!

I don't know is it normal in access or I have any mistake in my package?
can any body guide me to solve this problem?

Thanks
Fekri

G'day Fekri,

After backing up your database use the User Level security wizard to protect your program database. Ensure that users do not have admin rights to the database objects and they will not be able to import or export the object.

Good luck,

JB

Thanks for your reply,

So, You think the Level Security is more stronger than MDE??

I used it before but because of username & password question in first of program I stoped to use it.
I have my own form with Local Language to ask their username and password.
Can I use Level Security but log always as a special users without ask any username& password in first of database?

Thanks
Fekri
