private bit in mp3 frame?

Does anybody know how to set the private bit in all frames of an mp3?

I am somewhat familiar with the structure of the header in an mp3 frame, but I am not familiar with changing bits using visual basic.

What I need to be able to do is find this bit in each particular frame of the mp3 and then set it.

I think I need to be able to reliable calculate the number of frames that an mp3 has, then I have to be able to locate the bit in each of the frames.

Does anybody have any idea on how to do this, or any example code?

Note: this is not id3 tag stuff...
