I have a setup with 2 switches with 20 VLANs - and the Switch has an Inter-VLAN - while it's also connected to a Cisco ASA.

I need to create an access-list between the VLANs on the ASA instead of creating them on the switches - but doing this will disable the HSRP on the switches - which will disable the redundancy ...

The VLANs will be moved to the ASA as sub-interface but my problem how to create a redundancy on the switches without VLAN interface ?

Access-List on the ASA instead of having them on the Switches.

i dont think that is a problem. i have two switches that are redundant (not hsrp) i use power redundancy-mode redundant mode and then the standby IP of the vlan on the other switch and all my access lists reside on our pix. what kind of switch is it?

you're just going to have to rely on L2 redundancies instead of L3. Spanning-tree will be what you'll use to create the redundant connectivity.

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)
