I would imagine the answer is almost certainly yes. I have used Axis print servers directly from Linux using both lpr protocol and Axis's proprietary protocols. You probably just have to configure them to support lpr (tcp printing) and then use printtool on redhat (or similar for your distro) to create a remote print queue to 'pr1@172.16.16.10' or suchlike where 172.16.16.10 is the ip address of the server and pr1 is a print queue on the server.
