Hello,

Please can someone help me on two queries i have about printer management in Novell. People have been telling me that the notification when they have printed has been annoying so what i did in Administrator is un-tick the notification box on all the printers. But this did not solve the problem. How can i stop the notification?

Also if i re-name the print queue do i have to change all the clients’ printer setup for the new queue name?

Thanks

AlexMac,
There are 2 other areas you might want to check. In your printer properties on the local computer, many printers (not all) have a tab "Printer Settings", if so look for a notify check box. Also in the NW Client properties, "default Capture" tab there is a notify check box.

Hope that helps.

Under advanced settings in client 32 properties you can set message timeout to 1-2 ticks. The message will come up and dissapear, the user will never see it.
