Hi all,

I have a requirement to print a report, generated with serverside code.

I've experimented with putting the report body in a textarea, and select all then print but it still adds the header and footer to the print page (page title, number of pages, date and url)

Is there any decent way to print a report from the browser that wont include these headers?

Thanks,
Matt.

Sure, just do the following:

File -> Page Setup -> Header and footer. Just delete what it says. In Mozilla, there is a tab on top that says Margins/Header Footer, in IE that's on the first page of the Page Setup. Other browsers should have it around there as well.

Hope it helps.

Vragabond, Is there a way that I can build that into the page, javaScript or something that will make that change automaticly?

This is client based, so it is not really something you could control. But if you have only IE users, there is a component which I think allows that. For more info look into this thread: thread215-131150
