Whenever I try to print a publication with images (no matter Tiff or Jpeg). I get various characters printing on one line page after page, till I cancel the job. . I tried changing the memory preferencse for graphics in pagemaker to max.. I'm running pagemaker 6.5 on a Mac. The Printer is an HP 4000. The print server is NT. Publications without images print fine.

Hi Joe,

I am not a Mac expert, but I will try to help. How did you place the images into PM? Did you do a copy and paste or did you use PM's place command. If you did a copy/paste. delete the images, and use PM's place feature to place images.

You say you are on an NT network. Are there any other printers on the network, or attached to your Mac that you can print to? This may be a printer driver issue. HP is not a PS printer, you may need to install the adobe generic PPD ps driver rather than HP's fake ps driver.

You may want to try converting the files with the images to a PDF and then printing that, and see how it turns out.

Good Luck When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
