Dear All

I have a very wide table in HTML which users will need to print out.

The problem is that when you print it, anything that is too wide to fit on the page is just ignored -- I was hoping that it would just print out onto a second page.

How can I print this wide table (on several pages if necessary) in Internet Explorer.

Many thanks

Daniel

You need to make it a long table. IE will print the page as it is formatted. You might look into creating a "printer friendly" version of the page for printing.

Thank you!

Due to the complexity of the table, I think it has to be wide instead of long but I've just found a tool which you can download and it works in the browser to adjust the 'fit' for printing. It's not perfect because it just shrinks the contents but it works so I'll get them to invest in that I think.

Thanks again for your help!

Daniel

How does it look if you print it in Landscape as opposed to Portrait?

The above discussion is refering to printing landscape instead of portrait.

It would be excellent to do that! Do you know if it is easy to do that on the fly with ASP?
