Good Morning,
I'm in the process of making christmas cards. This one card is driving me nuts. I'm using a brush and white paint to create the graphic and then print it out on red paper.

However, when I print it out on red paper it looks more transparent (red showing through) instead of white. I intend to imbose it when I finally get it to work.

Can anyone explain what I need to do to fix it?

Thank you so much for your help. LanieT Lanie

In most normal color modes, Photoshop interprets 'white' as the color of the paper. Most printers don't print white (there's no cartridge for white ink), so you would have to print the red onto white card instead.

Commercial printers might be able to do something, but again, you probably wouldn't draw 'white'. Usually, if it's only one color, you would use Grayscale or Bitmap mode, draw in reverse (ie black), then tell the printer that it's to output using white ink. You could use multi-channel mode and define a white ink, but it's messy, and not all printers will be able to use your file.
