These two items can currently only be printed in vendor number sequence. I have made this request several times to Macola but it hasn't been the biggest problem. This causes many clients to use an alpha numeric naming convention for the vendor number. But that is probably not an option for you since you already have your vendors setup. I wish I had a better solution. Steve Henley

FYI: Peak Data has an enhancement (source code) to print checks in vendor name order along with several other nice additions @ $995 plus annual maintenance. Source code, though, is a bit of a dead end, as Macola ES will not have source code distributed to the dealer channel at all. I would assume that a Flex app could be written to print the checks in vendor order. And, if you want to change vendor numbers, Alembic Computer Systems has an enhancement @ $995 to change vendor numbers anytime you like as well.
I agree that source code enhancements are not a good solution. The Alembic solution is only for btrieve environments, as they have not ported their code to the SQL version as yet. They are probably not that far away as just this week I received a notice that their change G/L utility is now in SQL. We have done some research on a flexibiity solution to this problem and do not think that this is a viable solution.
Glen McPeak formerly of Peak data is now in charge of product development for the Progression line of Exact software so I think our best hope is that he will incorporate some of the best features from Peak into Progression. Steve Henley
