Printing using HP Laserjet 2200d in XP

We have a laserjet 2200D where we originally purchased when all our computers were windows 98. The printer is a network printer. When a computer added the printer to their list of printers, initially it would print over a cover page or "banner" page. In 98 we are able to go into settings and untick the banner setting. For the computer that is now on Windows XP Pro, it is once again printing the banner. before each print job. We installed the XP drivers for machine from HP. I investigated myself and had another network guy look at it and neither of us can find anything to stop banner from printing. What a waste of paper.
