I am trying to print to a printer attached to a PC with XP. I set this printer up as sharable. I can successfully print to it from other XP PC's. The Windows98 PC's cannot print to it. Cannot see it. What can I do to make the Windows98 PC's print to this printer on the XP PC?

Thanks

Bowler1,
Have you installed the printer drivers in the Win 98 machine and have you set file and printer sharing in the Nethood? Are there perhaps any domain or workgroup considerations to bear in mind?
I'm sorry if these seem like tedious questions, but sometimes it's the small details that catch us out...

The only way I have found around this problem is to setup a guest account on the xp machine, then have the users map to a shared directory (which contains nothing), selecting the guest id as the "connect as" option. This seems to give them access to the windows XP machine. [pc]
