I have produced a single spot colour booklet using CS and have been asked to supply to the printers as a postscript pdf file.

I am a web boy so i dont really know how to do this.

I have acrobat 6.0 and distiller as i think i may need them????????

Please can you help, do i need to create the postscript file using separations????????? :#

thanks for any help

ben

Supposing that you truly have a single spot color InDesign document, all you need to do is File>Export>PDF and choose PDF/x-1a as the profile.

ok.

I truly do have a single colour design using pantone 288.

So theres no need to embed the fonts etc?

thanks
ben

The preset of PDF/x-1a already specifies that fonts will embed. These profiles are established so that you do not need to think much about the export settings.

If you have a bleed then you should specify that but you are essentially good to go by just hitting export with the preset of PDF/x-1a
