Hello all,

How can I get Citrix to map an hp pcs 2350 series driver to a generic driver and auto create a client printer. Have googled already but to no avail. Unfortunately this is for one of VPs and buying a new printer is out of the question.

Thanks.

SIPIN,
What version of Citrix are you running?

You can do a printer mapping within the "Printer Management" icon within CMC.

Just have your VP log into a citrix server.
Once the session is logged in...go to the Citrix server and launch eventviewer.
Look for a "metaframe Server" event with the end-user username. This will let you know the print driver name that the client device is using for that printer.

Once you have that infomration...log into the CMC and go to the Printer management icon.
Click the "+" sign and right click on the "Drivers" icon.
Launch the "mapping" option and it will display a new page.

In here you can click add and input the driver informaiton from the client. Then you can click on the "Server driver" and map the desired print driver you want to use.

Hope that helps out.

enigma99 thanks for the reply.

I'm running XP 3. When I go into Printer Management Properties, I have "Use universal driver only if native driver is unavailable" selected. Shouldn't this automatically map the universal driver and establish a printer connection? I have confirmed she is using the hp pcs 2350 series driver by checking the event log however, I am not certain which server driver to map it to.
