Printing to HP from AS400 outq

In sending print file from AS400 to HP laserjet 4000 series I find the print time unacceptable. I have created print files using Infoprint Designer. There is at least a 30 to 45 second wait from the time the print job is released.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Check in the printer settings(spool settings) whether the job is set to print directly or wait untill spooled etc.
Also try swapping Data format from EMF to RAW.
