When I send a job to the printer, under lpstat -o it reads "waiting for 192.168.2.100 to come up". I can ping the printer by name and ip address. I am using a Hawking Usb to Ethernet converter. It works fine in windows.

Thanks

Craig

And which protocol uses windows (LPR, port 9100, SMB, ...) ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Could you please post the relevant part of /etc/printcap from your SCO box ?

It looks like the Hawking device support several protocols, but I couldn't find that it supports LPD. They recommend using IPP (port 631) for Internet Printing, and I'm not sure SCO OpenServer5 supports that protocol.
