I know there is probably a thread that addresses this problem, however since the search seems to be down I hope someone can give me a quick "push" in the right direction.

I am trying to create a text file that contains the exact information that the report has without all the printer control codes. when you use "Report form to file" you get the info.. but with the codes. There is probably a simple fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

If you are using FP dos, then simple..
REPORT FORM myReport TO FILE myFile.txt

If it is FPW then, be sure to choose the ASCII File option from the Windows popup in the Print Setup dialog.

This will stop the printer codes from disturbing the report :)
