Hi there,

I have the following problem:

I have a router (Repotec RP-IP515H) with a printer port, where I connected my HP deskjet 710C printer to.

Via a shared port I can print to it via my XP machine.
With my laptop with Win2k I can print to it via TCP/IP.

However with my Win98 machine I can not print something out. I don't have the posabillity to print via TCP/IP in Win98 and when I try to use the shared port, I can see the print task in the printer que but it won't print on the HP deskjet......The task disappears from the que and everything looks ok.......there is no error message.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I found the problem!

In the properties of the printer I had to change something in the spool settings:

* Disable bi-directional support for this printer

Most printers don't have a bi-directional cable.......
