Hi

I have a number of files in a folder. I would like to print them to different network printers depending on the filename.

How do I change the printer and how do i print the files?

thanks for any help!

In VB6 you need to change the default printer. You can loop through the Printers collection to do this. Do a search on this forum as this has been covered a few times

thanks for that.

I only have one printer here and I want to add a printer that is not on my local machine (a fictional printer that does not work). is this possible or does the printer have to be present in the printers collection?

Use the SetDefaultPrinter API

thanks for that.

I dont have a second printer at the moment so i can't test it, seems you can't "fake it" by changing your default to a printer that does not exist in Printers.
