Hi everyone. We have another site that needs access to data we store on our server, and they need to print it out on their end. How do I set up terminal services to use their printer, since they'll be connected to our server on this end?

Thanks

Dominic

You can add a printer using the network share for the printer and they can choose it. That is an easy way to do it and it works. We use TS for our customers now and thtas basically how we do it. James Collins

I forgot to mention that you add the printer to the Terminal Server. If it is connected to a PC then use the network share. If it is a network printer add it using the IP address. James Collins

it should be autocreated. you have to make sure the driver name of the computer connecting is the same as the servers driver name. if the computer connecting is win9x and the server is nt or 2000, then the names will be different. in this case you need to update the wtsuprn.txt file(%system%\system32 folder) to add the names for win9x and win nt/2000, the text file will have instructions, then save it as wtsuprn.inf and it should work. Also make sure the server has drivers for that printer, go to start->settings->printers then right click somewhere in the folder and click server properties, then go to the drivers tab and make sure it is there. If you need anymore help, let me know.
