Printing reports from a database, using VC++ dialog-based program.

I need to elaborate and print reports from a database, using a dialog-based VC++ program. I do NOT have Crystal Reports. Can anybody explain more about this? I need to have a preview of the report and then print it. Is this feature only available with SDI and MDI programs? How can I implement this? Thank you very much.
