I was looking at the eventvwr on the print server and was wondering is it normal for the docment being printed to be paused then resumed as this appears to be the case?
What error are you getting? I'm only seeing Event 10 on my jobs.

I'm not getting any errors as such but I am getting events 10, 11, and 12 paused resumed and printed. I am sure I have never noticed it in the past what could be causing it? It not that the printer is busy as it aint.
I don't see any events 11 or 12. Is it possible that a user is pausing the job? Or, perhaps the specific driver you are using?

Its all users and all printers. In fact its been happening for weeks looking at the log but it only got noticeably slow today. I am thinkning it could have something to do with the desktops(xp).
Check the versions of the drivers and see if they are what you expect. I've accidently pushed up alternate drivers to a server from my workstation before.

It affecting all users in different regional offices, events 10,11,12 being logged on the print server. Even if I bypass the server and set up the printer locally jobs are getting paused before eventually resuming themselves.
Try as I might, I cannot replicate your issue. Anyone else want to give it a shot?

The print audit add on the forum caught my eye, I enquired and there is print tracking s/ware on the desktops that I was unaware of. Disabled it and all okay.
