Printing problems

I have a number of printers set-up on my W2K server.
Client machines connect to the printers by browsing the AD and selecting the printer.
When printing from Excel users are finding that jobs are printing outside of the gridlines.
When I then connect the printer to the local machine, rather than going through the W2K server the jobs output fine?
Any ideas what could be causing this? I have the correct drivers installed on both the server and the client machines.
