Currently using Netware 5.0, Win95/98 workstations running Client32 3.21. Have a user that has control of the department's network printer. She prints long reports and before doing so, goes into NWADMIN and unchecks the "Allows users to submit print jobs" box so no one can print while she is printing. When she is done printing, she goes back into NWADMIN and allows users to submit print jobs. Sometimes when users go to print, they can't. The printer icon appears on their taskbar. When looking at the queue, the jobs are there, but will not print. The only way they can print again is if they reboot, which is a pain for some users. Anybody have any ideas how to resolve this without rebooting?

Thanks

Sounds like the printer needs to login to the network again.
Maybe turning it off and then back on after printing will refresh it?

Is it using jetdirect or does that user have to be logged in for that printer to work?

Maybe restart the Spooler Service?

Printer has a jetdirect. Other users can print. Just 2 or 3 users cannot print without rebooting.

Sounds like the timeout setting on 2/3 users comp needs to be increased. Maybe a higher timeout in the capture statement.
