Hi all. Hope someone can answer our question....!

Using Great Plains Dynamics, when three of us print a Trial Balance report, the last line under the "Credits" heading is cut off....For example, if the number "1234.56" were to print, we only see "1234.5" in the screen view and printer view. However, even weirder is the fact that our fourth co-worker is able to print out the report just fine...everything is included.

Now, the three of us who can't print out the report correctly are a part of the same server, while the fourth is on a different server...however I spoke with IT and we logged on the server SHE uses and I still wasn't able to print out the full report.

We've even tried switching printers to no avail. Funny thing is, we all are networked to the same information and use the same report format, but for some reason, her's shows up fine and ours doesn't...any ideas??

How do I set print area on a report??

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

If the report works for one user and you are all using the same data and the same report layout, then my guess would be this is a printer issue. Great Plains reports are going to use you printer driver/settings to print the report, even if you are just printing to the screen. Does the 'fourth' person print to a different printer or use a different printer driver? Are you using a printer supported for GP? I have used many printers not on the 'GP supported' list without any problems, but it may be that you are using a printer that will just not work properly.

If changing printers or printer drivers is not an option, maybe you can modify the report slightly to have a larger margin on the right?

I've seen this problem with other apps too. Verify the printer driver version on all of the computers. What may seem like a trivial difference can cause small problems like this. Another item to check is that some printers allow the users to change default margin and header/footer settings. This can have the effect of cutting off fields as well. Hope this helps.
