When I am in OS X , I have to run Classic mode because Quark 5 does not run in OS X . When I choose a printer in the classic chooser and print to it nothing happens. There is no error message. But if I reboot the startup disc using OS 9.2 the jobs are in the print queue and then start to print out. It seems as if the OS 9 printer drivers are disabled in Classic mode. I contacted the nearest Mac office and they said that nothing could be done. If that is the case then it is pretty useless for any Quark 5 or below users to upgrade to OSX. But I think there must be a solution.
Is there any other application except for Quark that runs in Classic environment? If so, then please try printing from it. In case you get the same results then there is no issue with Quark. In case, the results are different then we will look into it further.
You can try selecting your printer in the chooser and hit "Setup" to re-link the PPD, or turn off any desktop print spooler extensions through extensions manager.
Having Trouble with Quark 6, When I save it tells me the 'Fille is already open" and won't let me save the document. So I have to revert to the original saved version. Recently installed Badia Opennow 1.1 extension. may be this would have something to do with the problem. It only happens every now an then but is very annoying when yo have done some work on a job and cant save it.
