Ever since we upgraded from Netware 5.0 to 5.1 I have been unable to print to a HP 4050 from a WIN 2000 PC. All other users are running WIN98SE and have no problem printing to that printer. I can print to all other network printers (HP 2100, HP 1100, HP 5) from the WIN2000 PC. I am running the 4.8 SP 3 client on the WIN2000 system and I log in as Admin with full system rights. We are not running NDPS. The WIN2000 system is at SP2.
When I try to access the HP 4050 via WIN2000 Printer Control Panel it takes a long time (> 3 minutes) to open the printer properties - other printers open immediately. I can print a Test Page to the 4050 but it just stays in the queue in Ready status.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the printer objects several times from both the WIN2000 PC and a WIN98SE PC but that has not helped.
Any ideas why this paricular printer does not work with WIN2000?
