Printing Problems GPS ver. 9.5 (dos) & Windows XP

Has been working great and now having problems printing. Have to go into device manager, select LPT1, unclick Enable Legacy Plug & Play Detection in Port Settings, reboot, go back into device manager and click "enable .." in order to print. Any ideas?
