Printing problem

When trying to print the following message appears :

"Cannot read from or write to the logical resource printer file." Press F2

I reloaded Accpac 6.1 Accounts Payable from a backup.

Cannot Read from or write to the logical printer resource file error

This error usually means the xxLRSC.ZZZ file in your data dictionary is corrupted. (where xx is the application (ie GL for General Ledger AP for Accounts payable etc) and ZZZ is the three letter extention of your dataset.

Here is how to fix the problem:

I will assume you are getting this error when trying to print reports from Accounts Payable.

Goto the dos prompt then goto the directory containing the data. Rename the APLRSC.dat (where dat is the three letter extention of your data set) file to APLRSC.old. Then go back into ACCPAC and test out the printing. This file is recreated by accpac so a new APLRSC.dat file will be created the next time you print.

Please try this out and if you still get the error let me know.
