Printing problem Crystal 8.5 in VB6

Hi I've developed a wrapper program in VB6 that wraps around a Crystal 8.5 report using an ODBC driver for a SQL Server 6.5 DB. The report runs fine but if the user is printing from other applications while the report is running and then goes back to print in the CRViewer they get a blank message box with only and 'OK' button and the exclamation point. Please if anyone could help with this problem I would be appreciative.
