Hello,

I have created a report which is used as an invoice. As part of the invoice I wish to print the logo of the company. I have inserted the logo as a .bmp file. I have been able to print the report successfully (ie logo and all text fields). However now it doesn't print the logo at all, but it still prints the text fields . I have ensured that the path to the file is correct. Your help is most appreciated!

You shouldn't have to worry about a path to the logo. If you're in a report and you inserted a picture, the properties should look something like this:

Picture............(bitmap0
Picture Type.......Embedded

If it's embedded in the report it'll print every time. Don't refer to the location, especially if the MDB will be used by others on a LAN and there's a chance some users don't have rights to the folder where the image is stored.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jim,

Your tek tip worked!! Thank you for your help.

Hi Jim,

I'm back again. Still having the same problem. This is the process i have been taking.

1. Select the following menu: Insert > picture
2. Select the bitmap image and click OK
3. At this point I preview the properties for the image control, they are as follows

a. Picture = C:\logo.bmp
b. Picture TYpe= Embedded

No matter what I do, I cannot get the picture TYpe to be (bitmap). I have seen the NWIND db and there seems to be nothing obvious for me to change.

The weird thing it displays in print preview, but not when it actually prints????

Okay. Try this. Go to Word and insert the picture there. Then, click once on the picture, copy it to the clipboard, and then paste it on your form/report. This will guarantee that it'll be an imbedded file and should work. That's the process I use when I don't acutally have the JPG or BMP file but do have it in a Word document, etc. Hope this works.
