When printing PDF's from verion XI, the PDF's file name was prefilled with "Crystal Reports - " + the report name. Now that I'm running version 2008, the Crystal Report's report name is no longer a part of the PDF's prefilled file name.

Is this controlled by a setting somewhere? Thank you.

Printing PDFs, as in printing to a PDF printer, or exporting to PDF? These are 2 entirely different things.

You are probably using a pdf Printer, which is not part of Crystal Reports. That printer driver is probably defaulting to naming the pdf file based on the Window title of the application triggering the "printing".

hth,
- Ido

view, email, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Not exporting... choosing PDF like I'd choose a printer. I can print the same exact report to PDF in XI and 2008 and the file name is applied differently.

Thanks Ido. Well, Adobe must see something different among the two version of Crystal (window title?). I'm not sure why or how to correct it. I depend on the pre-populated file name. Oh well.
