I can't believe that this can be so difficult !?
I have a web based application that produces PDF documents of 2 different sizes, A4,Portrait & EnvelopeDL,Landscape. These display perfectly in the browser(IE 6) window, with an acrobat plug-in. However, they won't print the correct size or orientation without a lot of manual setting of printer properties and preferences.
I have 2 PC/printer combinations that both behave pretty much the same. Win2K with HP LaserJet6P, and Win2K with Kyocera FS1010. I have also produced a test Word document with page 1 in Envelope, page 2 A4, and this works fine.
I would have thought that PDF, having been designed to deliver consistant looking documents, would have selected paper size OK ? Any suggestions.
Thanks ..Geoff
