Hi there folks. I set up two print queues (PS & PCL) to print to a network printer (HP DN8100) and all I am getting is the cover page. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

:)

Are you sending Postscript or PCL to it? How about setting up an ascii queue and sending /etc/hosts to it? If you are sending PCL you may need to tag some escape codes to the start of the print. I'm afraid I don't have much experience of printing but I've sent plenty of plots to HP printers and I usually have to tag stuff on the front to get anything out.
At least you're getting a front page, I don't usually get that far at first.

Thanks for the response! Yup, sending them through the PCL queue works... they are just plain old ASCII files... also, found that the 'lpr' command sends the file to the printer with the cover page, while using the 'lp' command doesn't, though it spits out the job number, but using 'lpr' doesn't. Good old AIX.
