Hi!
With Access, i quite often produce reports of over 1500 pages.

Since i do not want to keep the printer busy too long, i use to print the report in many smaller parts(pages 1 to 100; 101 to 200; 201 to 300, etc...)
Unfortunatly, the counter for the pages to print stops at 999, and even if i say from=999 and to= "blank", it does not work since it prints only page 999.
So, to get the whole report, i have to use the "all" option.
Does anyone knows an easy solution to that problem?

Thanks

While not having created a report that large before, I can't speak from experience, but the physical page limit for a report is supposed to be 65,536 pages.

Did you look into the PrintOut action?? You can specify page ranges there....

Hi CosmoKramer,

It's in the PrintoutAction window that i specify my ranges(pages 1 to 100; 101 to 200; 201 to 300, etc...).

But the range capacity is only 3 digits(999)....

How about setting up a macro using the PrintOut action? You can enter 4 or more digits there.....

ON the other end, If you (your boss/business ...) really need and USE a 1500 page report - they should get a printer which supports the process.

Generating multiple reports BASED on logical criteria which sub-divides the 'monster' is another approach, but just getting the appropiate hardware is the lesser of the ...
