I want to develop a crystal report (version 8.5) that will print file folder labels starting in a different position each time.

These labels are for the A/P vendor file folders. Currently when we set up a new file folder, for a new vendor, we type up a single label using a typewriter.

Since there are a standard number of labels to a single sheet of (adhesive) labels then there must be a way to have a crystal report that can print one or more labels, based on a parameter as to which vendors, and start printing at the 2nd/3rd/4th position on the sheet - alos based on an input parameter - if a sheet of labels has been partially used.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This topic has been addressed in previous posts here so you might give the keyword search a try, but the short answer is that Crystal doesn't fabricate rows of data.

There are ways to get Crystal to emulate this sort of behavior by using suppression, but the best solution is to add in the X blank rows into a temp table, append the rows that you want to print on to that.
