Hi,

Is there any software which would perfectly suit the requirement for a page layout ( For a magazine ) other than corel draw.

In Corel the continuity of page takes lot of time to save the file ( since the page starts from 1 to --) and this starts saving everytime from the begining.

I need a package which would be customised perfectly for a printing media and page designing. Please help me in this regard

Thanks,
Lorita

Try Adobe Acrobat. I think this is what you are asking. You can take an entire Corel Draw layout and "Distill" it to Acrobat (through the Adobe Distiller). THis gives you the PDF layout exactly as your corel layout. It is printable and more suitable for now graphic page layout (i.e. text with images, paragraph formating etc.)

I think that most designers in the print media use applications such as QuarkXpress, InDesign, or PageMaker for multiple page layout like you describe. I Use CorelDraw alot, but primarily for vector-based illustration similar to Adobe Illustrator.

Hi,
Thanks for responding,

Pixelchik : I think this would work.

attrofy: This is o.k, but i beleive that in PDF I can't edit. I idea which you have suggested would help me if the word file is in finished stage. is it not?

But I need to edit from the designing package ( be it corel or adobe acrobat ) I need to keep a template file. In this template file the subheading will remain same where as the content size and matter would changes. To make these changes in Corel draw for app. 7 layout pages, it take more that 3-4 hours to design. That to if i "Bold" few words in WORD and paste it in cores edit pad, nothing is seen except plain text.

I just need to paste a page of word with all settings into corel.(May be not accurate but similar problem)

Just a quick note : try looking at Corel Ventura. This is a programme similar to Quark and is great for putting books and magazines together.
It allows you to gather and put together many artworks and make glabal changes easily, then print out however you want.
