I am attempting to use a report to print off labels for a libary database. The problem I am having is that when I go to print labels it prints the entire report rather than just the one label I want to print... Please Help Me... Thanx
Nate16, Sounds like you didn't select just your address fields from your current report as the basis for your new report of just address labels. Have you tried using the Wizard in the Reports section to make a new report of just address labels? Montrose Learn what you can and share what you know.
I am using the Label Wizard thats how I created the Report the problem I am having is I want to select only certain labels in the Report and print those off rather than printing every label in the report. Is there a way to highlight specific labels and have only them printed? Is there a way to determine a pattern the highlighted labels would be printed on a sheet of labels? For instance if I was missing 3 labels from the sheet is there any way I could get the labels to print on every space that has a label except the spaces that are missing the labels. Thanks for listening to my prblem any help would be appreciated.
Nate16, Is your report for labels based on a query? If it is just put the criteria into your query as parameters to determine which labels to print.
Yes there is a way to "...get the labels to print on every space that has a label except the spaces that are missing the labels". The code to do so is in Chapter 9 of the "Access 97 Developer's Handbook" (Litwin, Getz, Gilbert), (may also be in the 2000 version of this book). It clearly describes the function to use and the results are exactly what you're looking for in this instance. If you don't have the book I remember still seeing it at Amazon-well worth the investment for the wealth of code. HTH, Montrose. Learn what you can and share what you know.

I am printing 12 labels(6 X 2) on my label sheet.
(4" X 2 "inches.
I am using reports to generate 2 verticle columns but my problem is label sheet is not fitting into the specified page size in page set of reports.Neither font nor row spacing matches with the size of label paper.
Can anybody tell me how exactly match the sizes ?
I am not using label wizard ??
