printing issues

me again,
thansk for the help on the last question, that helped alot. i have gotten past that and finished a project for a friend, a video cover. problem is when its printed it the text comes up all blurry and pixelated, but when its printed on my home computer (epson stylus) it comes up fine. where did i screw up. I gave both a PDF and the AI. file to the printer but still got pixelation

Try converting the text to outlines before sending it to a printer. That way, font problems won't be an issue, although some printers have trouble with small text treated this way.
 
If your converting to outlines be sure and raise your attributes to 2400-2540 in 2 places. In your attributes window and in file - document setup - Printing& Export. Raise your output resolution to 2400-2540 dpi. Be sure you have evverything selected when doing this

If your in Illus 10 you would only do it in Printing Export.
The prepress dept at yur printer should do this to your files but if they don't which happens sometimes, you can have your files set up already.
