Printing in Quark 5- multi ink tif stalls computer

Working on a mac using OS 9.2.2 and Quark 5 - network printers

Has anyone else found that when you use multi-ink on a tif you can't print? I found it works fine with type.

I've tried printing it to 2 different lasers, a color laser, and Inkjet and got the same response.

I've even tried printing through adobe ps instead of laserwriter 8... nada.

I've tried printing as full resolution tifs. No go.

Anyone else experiencing this?
(beware if you do get stalled you'll need to force quit the spooler and if you have to restart you need to quickly stop the file from printing on reboot)

If not could you describe what your set up is so I can pin point where we're having our problem?

figured out the problem here so I thought I would post the solution we found.

We've found that going to Quark/Utilities/Xtension Manager and disabling OPI PPC and then restarting Quark has taken care of it.
