- connect to and install a printer from the *network* on a particular system.&nbsp;&nbsp;Then, the printer would be available to anyone who logged into that system.<br><br>In another environment, it was more profile specific - whereas, it did not require the person who logged into the system to have administrative priviledges to install a printer from the network.&nbsp;&nbsp;Not only did it not require you to be an admin for this...&nbsp;&nbsp;it would also require each individual user to install his own printer in same system - because one users profile did not effect the other.<br>(Even when an admin installed a network printer... it did not effect <font color=red>*all users*</font>.)<br><br>Does anyone know what would be the cause for the two different environments?<br><br>Thanks in advance.<br>-hc

I actually meant *two different locations* (i.e. companies)<br><br>Both sites are running:<br>A PDC/BDC<br>10 base T ethernet<br>and NT WKS 4.0 for all clients.<br><br>I think the only difference (on the server end of things) was that the first location had Netware running on top of there NT Servers.<br><br>Any ideas? <p>Rich Tricoche<br><a href=mailto:rtricoche@hotmail.com>rtricoche@hotmail.com</a><br><a href= not!</i><br>
